Executive Officers Roles and Responsibilities
President - Presides over all association meetings with the exception on the nomination committee. Becomes one of three “signers of checks”. Oversees all Cooper PTA officers, chairpersons and events, attends all PTA meetings, writes the newsletter and informational e-mail blasts.
Vice President - The right hand of the President. Presides over meetings in the Presidents absence; is called upon to replace the President if the position is vacated. Attends all PTA meetings, publicizes events, is one of three "signers of checks.
Vice President of Ways and Means (Fundraising) - Attends all PTA meetings and is responsible for all aspects of fundraising.
Treasurer - Responsible for all monies taken in and paid out, financial record keeping and government forms for taxes. Attends all PTA meetings and becomes one of three “Signers of Checks”.
Recording Secretary - Responsible for attending all PTA meeting and taking “Minutes”, clear record keeping of contracts, By Laws, Standing Rules and Cooper PTA membership; distributes dues cards; update and maintain PTA website.
Corresponding Secretary - Attends all PTA meetings; sends e-Blasts and also sends thank you notes and appreciation gifts when necessary.
